ThomasBass Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Im getting 2 ascendant audio mayem 18's i was just wondering how much power will i need for those subs on 4 audiopipe 1500d's. How many batterie and/or alts what kind of batteries i would need? Multiple runs of wires also?

To your question, what I would do (ignorant of what vehicle you drive as you did not provide the information) but you are still looking around 400 amps of current. A dual 270amp alternator setup with whatever you can fit under the hood and a D3100 in the back. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

TeamHT Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 You can get a larger battery bank if you run a single alternator setup, and it is definitely doable on less. But I gave a suggestion on what I would do. When I play, I can play at full tilt for hours on end. never dropping below 14 volts. And if you want close to rated you will definitely want to stay at 14.4 as long as possible. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
