Stephen_og Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 how can i tell if my subs are clipping? i wanna get them adjusted just right but dont wanna buy a distortion thingy. any help or ideas? I have one, I do it for people around here for twenty bucks. really? is there a big difference when your done adjusting it? i wanna know how to do it myself but i probly need to learn when i tuned my system, when I had one in my car, i gained over 1 db in the kick and on the dash... at least for me I saw gains on the TL and I could hear a gain Team NWSPLUPCOMING BUILD (when I afford it) 2013 Ford Focus Hatch 2x DC lv3 15s 2x b2 quotas XS batts DC power alt That amp would fuck the shit out of those subs. Nikitaaa Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 i never knew there were shows either?? haha. are they car shows or shows where people show their build and see how mand DB's theyre pushing? i wanna see how much i can rock but i know it wont be alot. were trying to get a good size list of comps for this up coming season.. talking with local shops from canada all the way down to salem oregon, and possibly have a "finals" towards the end of the year. as far as the numbers guys are putting up, there are 4 guys by my knowleges in the 150s.. a guy with a mountaineer did a 153 (burp) sealed with 3 nightshades off of 3 sundown 3000D at .5 each but he pulled that and is up grading. another guy with a tahoe with 4 DC XL 15s off a AB 1100.1 doing around 154s on a burp. another guy with a tahoe with 4 Fi BTLs 18s off 4 sundown 3500DS doing 155s and justin ( that probably most people know kn here that has the white blazer) over in spokane with 4 Fi BTLs walled doing high 150s. if theres more someone please add on. I'm definetely going to check this out! Sounds like so much fun! Is there an application to get on the team, or..? just go over to our forum, its just a seperate one that just the NWgroup can post builds and for sale stuff.. just makes it easier without having to sift throught threads on a huge one such as this.. not taking away from what steves forum does to the community at all.. just an easier communication method. I would suggest backing your subs back from the hatch about 8 in you mean put them in the trunk more? the pic i took of the box isnt where its at now. thats where i set it while i was wiring up the amp & cap. I see now I read your post wrong, but yeah 12's have a wave length of 8-10 inches so to properly place your subs in phase and produce the best spl you should have them about that far from the trunk. 1992 Mazda 323 http://www.stevemead...323-wall-build/
