87regal Posted January 19, 2012 Report Share Posted January 19, 2012 the term you're looking for is "infinite baffle" and i can almost guarantee you that sub would sound better and louder in a nice ported box. I have seen people with that kind of setup put a board right behind the seals to seal it off. That would stop some of the rear waves from entering the cabin(cancellation).
