MrAddo
Hi guys, quick opinion poll. I'm about to start my install in my '91 BMW 525i. I've got two 15" Kove subs which are pretty low power handling. I'm not going for spl in this car but I do want plenty of punch. My question is: do I fire the subs back towards the rear, straight up or forward? Box will be ported and tuned to around 38 hz. Cheers. Quote WHAT'S THAT? IT'S TOO LOUD? HERE, LET ME TURN IT UP! Bumpin the TWP
back when i had a box i could actually move, i usually kept it front facing (found to have slightly less trunk lid rattle). Either way will be fine, i never really saw a difference in bump each way. CFAIST
Best results I got in my focus were subs up port to the drivers side. For loud anyway. Quote C.A.R. canderton01
every car is different so your results may very... most of the time though for trunk cars you will get the best results with firing towards the rear and fold the seats down(if you can). I'd only fire them forward if you plan on sealing them off from the trunk. I tried firing my 15'' into the cabin and the low end response dropped significantly. bassrace
If you were running more power and your seats folded down I would most likely say fire forward. But since you arent running alot of power I would bet that rear firing would prob be the loudest to the ear, and port to drivers side either to the back or side firing.
