MrSkippyJ Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 if you do a blowthrough then ditch the 8's, cone area moves air down low. And would you really cut up a truck for a few 8's... I would do a blow through for 4 8s in a heartbeat. I planned on it with 3 8s in my s-10 before I traded it. Not sure why you think he couldn't get low with the 8s. LZTYBRN Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Ill have 2 much power for only 2 or 3.. realy have 2 much on 4. Another reason considering blow thru with 6 or 8 sa8 1. You already have "too much power" 2. You'll have a higher impedance. Power per sub should be ABOUT the same, so long as you wire them in parallel like they are now. 3. You can always lower the gain. I think you'd be happier if you tried 3 sa-8's tuned to about 33 hz. I'd at least try it before you go cutting up your truck. Out of curiosity, what's your box volume, and how much port? Quote
