Nivram
hello all.. so i just got a rockford 1000rms amp and 2 days after pounding stupid loud bass with my new set up my cheap audiobahn 15in sub make a weird crack noise then i lost half the amount of bass. so i think only one of them blew but if one blew then im sure the other is next to go.. the subs are rater 650rms i only have 525rms going to each. so im not sure how it happened. im in need of new subs that will go well with my amp !! Any suggestions? pa-pa-platypus
x2..best sub on the world aint gonna last very long if a clipped signal is being sent to it This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned 151.6 with single 12 at 41 hz 153.2 with 2 12's at 43 hz power: dd m4
Rebel4055
You clearly stated in your other thread you had bass boost and everything else turned up. No wonder you blew your subs. And the voltage drop you had didn't help any. Rest In Peace mother. Rebel4055
No sub will work with his amp if he doesn't get the idea of his gains. Rest In Peace mother. Rebel4055
I'll let someone else explain clipping. You don't just go and set them to what something says on paper. Every setup is different. Your low voltage didn't help either. Remove the cap. It does no good on stock electrical. It puts more of a strain on it. If you had a HO alt and a few batteries I could see using one. And not a crappy one either. Rest In Peace mother.
