Twostrokeking
About to rolls of masking tape on the floor! It runs vertical one way and horizontal the other! Fuel for the beast! (Me) Spent 50 bucks on this! Laid glass up all over the floor! Kinda sticky and hard to take pictures of so this is the only one! I had a box all framed up to use and I decided it wasn't going to work so I started over! Had the glass layed up and attached to the box but cut it out because I went a different rout! The box I started! Cut out the glass! Sanding and I ran a 3 Inch piece of wood through 2 of my fingers!! Where the bandaid is those 2 fingers were stuck together. Glass fits in perfect!! I can't find the actual cut pictures! Efff! Anyways here is the box dry fitted. Glued and screwed it all together! Had to notch out the back piece of the box so that it fit perfect around the tranny humps. Glassed the bottom of the bottom of the box into the frame! In bass we trust!! Love SMD!! Here is the top! Wavy and looked like shit. I wasn't happy at all. Had to be fixed! Cut out a perfect new top! cleaned off my bench! First and Last time anyone will ever see that! Twostrokeking
150' of weather stripping!! Went around the sub holes to prevent leaks! Weather stripped around the box so I can test it and see what it sounds like before I seal it up! This came in the mail! 15' of Knukoncepts 12 gauge speaker wire! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS WIRE!! Bought some heat shrink! Blue for positive, and black for negative! Soldered all connections on! Got a metal bowl to flare the port with! Bought some 4" pvc pipe! Flared the port! To make the terminal holes air tight I used this outlet insulator that came with my weather stripping. Also marked positives and negatives! Cut hole for port! and weather stripped it! Got the port in! Used some plumbers tape to hold it in place! Painted the end of port! Subs are in! When these were wired I had them for the 2 channel ultimate at 4 ohms. So the wiring is a bit different in the pics then it is now! Twostrokeking
In the truck! Then my good friend Jason sent me his DD-1 to tune my amps!! Before the DD-1 came I realized one of the channels on the ultimate was shot so Grandma loaned me the money for the BD-1000! What that means is I have to re wire all of the subs for 1 ohm! Heres the pictures of that! Got some carpet from Autozone to carpet the box with! Made it so I could get into the box if i need to. Id just have to rip the silicone off. That was a dumb idea. and it wasn't necessary. I let the glue dry over night and then trimmed off the folded over carpet so it sits against the wood nice and tight! Used this to carpet it! Love the stuff! Its cheap and works good! Added in two more braces. The subs move air! Got the box in! Look what FINALLY came!! Fosgate Bd1000! 1300 at 1 ohm (: Got this spare piece of wood for the amp rack! THEKINGsBACK
this is coming along nicely man... Looks great... I always wanted a lifted truck.. ur attention to detail is great.. he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:
