FCsteve Posted December 5, 2007 Report Share Posted December 5, 2007 i started doing these sunday. sorry for the poor picture quality, i dont own a camera. all i got is my phone. this was my original design plan. i changed some things for the final design. after 2 layers of resin. after another layer of fiberglass and a layer of bondo to smooth it all out. i dont have any durablocks, but a sanding sponge and sheets of sand paper did the job just as well. then after a layer of paint, pretty much finished. the goods. Kick ass job man im going to fiber glass my doors on my truck but im going to have a shop do it since i dont know how =( thanks guys. you can learn how to fiberglass from looking at groundpounders fiberglass builds. he pretty much tells you everything you need to kno. after that its all trial and error. FCsteve Posted December 6, 2007 Author Report Share Posted December 6, 2007 i forgot to mention. that retangular area that looks like an empty box on the lower corner of the panel is a mount for a fiberglass panel with a carbon fiber BMW emblem mounted in the center. il post pics of it when im done with it.
