What is the minimum amount of power I need?

Hello to everyone ..... noob here.

I recently purchased a 2012 Lexus CT200h SE. I pulled the Hertz Mille 280 tweeters and 1600 woofers from my last ride and want to put them in my new car. To get the Special Edition model I had to get the Premium Audio system which has decent sound but no midbass or bass to speak of. I don't want to change any more than I have to and plan to start out with just replacing the tweeters and woofers but don't know if they will get enough power to sound decent without adding one of my amps. I also have the Mille 2500 sub but may try to get by without installing it .... just not sure.

If I have to add amps I may try to install the Mille 700 mids as well.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to make this work? This is a small car and I don't want to give up any more space than necessary. It has 10 speakers :

2 door speakers

2 mids on each side of the dash

2 tweeters

1 center channel on the dash

2 rear door speakers

1 8" sub

I have no idea about the amp other than it uses digital sound processing.

Sorry to ramble on but I know I have some good speakers and I don't want to screw up this installation.

Well i would first start off with some deadener to see if you can bring more of the midbass out with what is in there as a start before going into a more complex situation. If you can't achieve what your looking for with the stock speakers with deadener then you'll have no choice but to interface with the stock H/U, i believe you said it has digital out from the H/U and if that is the case you'll either need a bit one or bit 10D to interface with it and then use one or more of your amps to power the comps with. Good question on power wise to power those speakers with cause usually the more power given to them the better they sound and perform so i guess it's a try it out and see how well they do with the stock power, no real way to know unless you try.

What I am trying to accomplish is to use some high end components that I already have to replace the OEM speakers. I will definitely be adding some sound deadening to the doors. I don't know how much power the OEM amp has but have a hard time believing it will get me where i want to go. I have a Memphis amp with 150 rms x 4 that I was using before and loved the sound I had. I also had a separate Memphis amp with 400 w for the sub. I may end up using both of these amps to power the system and leave out the sub.

I don't know enough about how all of this equipment will interact but I do have an excellent installer. He is swapping out the tweeters and 6.5" woofers in the front doors (adding dynamat or something equivalent to the front doors) to the existing system just to see what it does. If it doesn't get me where I want to go then he will add the amps to the installation. I definitely will have to run active since I never got the crossovers. If possible I would like to add the Hertz mids to this setup as well and then use the woofers more to make up for my lack of subwoofer (not even sure that makes sense).

One of main goals is to get the best sound I can out of these Hertz components while preserving the integrity (OEM look) of the car. I have some mad money from the "slush fund" to pour into this but I don't want to compromise any usable space or change the look of the car any more than I have to.

According to lexus the amp is a DSP integrated 8 channel full range Class D amp.

The verdict is in.....factory amp will not begin to get the job done. Looks like I will be adding some amps and an audison Bit One processor to the mix and adding the ML700 mids. It sucks that I will have to wait a week or two but no since doing this if I can't get it done right the first time.
