tactiik
will a good battery get rid of my lights dimming and my amp clipping?
Watch the bass
Your amp clipiing leaves if you set your gain´s with a DD 1 or oscope. For the dimming, please tell us what amps did you use, how many and what batt´s did you have, and how many amps your alt run to the system. Maby a batt and Big 3 help´s enough. Socky
we will need to know some more info, such as the amps, type of batteries, type of wire, and vehicle. Guest
"thick red wire" doesnt count. what gauge/brand is it? you have to do the big 3 if you want to even begin to start to help your light dimming.
Socky
lol thick red wire, look on the wire itself, and read what gauge it is. Watch the bass
Do the Big 3http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/13280-how-to-do-the-big-3-tutorial/ first and use 1/0 gauge , that´s the cheapest upgrade. If it still dimm, biggest baddest batt you can fit under the hood, have a look in the want to sale section, Ram have a vew threads with used AGM batt´s in diffrent sizes and nicepriced. That must be enough for your need´s. Quote "in the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty" Bob Marley
mhart
I'm kind of surprised you are having problems with a 1000 watt amp. Is the dimming slight or really bad?
