Are those designs supposed to specific to the dd3512? It would be better if you posted your maximum dims for a box as reference and the car you intend to put that box into.

the box is going in a 93 geo prizm. the maimum dims is h18xw37xl37. i got the designs from car audio.com free box plans.

So here is a design suggestion based on DD3512 specs and daily tuning:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 36 Hz

Vb = 5.2 ft^3

External Height = 13.25 in

External Width = 38 in

External Depth = 29 in

Port Width = 6 3/4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

Front = 30 1/2 x 11 3/4

Front Internal = 29 x 11 3/4

Back = 38 x 11 3/4

Left & Right Sides:

Side 1 = 27 1/2 x 11 3/4

Side 2 = 28 1/4 x 11 3/4

Top & Bottom = 38 x 29

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 19 13/16 x 11 3/4

everything looks good and fits but the Port Internal Assembly Parts. i cut the wood and the Extension = 3 x 15 1/2

is really small

If it bothers you to cut such small piece of wood you can cut it longer, you will be tuned a bit lower, let me know how long you want to cut it and I will tell you how lower you will be tuned to. Just a few inches only please to prevent running into some other issue.

im worried bout the subs hitting the port wall.

If you wish you can add just a couple of inches. with some care you can just place the 3 inches part as well. Proceed as you wish and let me know, I will tell you the effects of what you did.
