04murdalanche Posted February 20, 2012 Report Share Posted February 20, 2012 if you just a simple ipad dash then make it connect via 3.5 headphone jack, when you the ipad in via the dock connector, you lose volume control of the ipad therefore you wouldnt be able to change it. it all depends on what head unit you are using.. i have a Kenwood x994 with my iPad install and it works just fine. you can choose to control it via the ipad or the head unit.. if you have any other questions PM me i did A LOT of researching before doing my iPad dash.
