h23a3lude Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 So I've just recently bought a new DB Drive Okur A4 4200 amp. I have a set of DB Drives' platinum 6.5's which are 3ohm impedence. I intend to buy another set of 6.5's or 5.25's but they will more than likely be 4ohm impedence, is it okay to run two different impedences as long as they are on seperate channels? And i cant run the same speakers in the rear because my trunk springs wont clear a bulky magnet but I dont wanna fry my amp, and im just not entirely sure so i figured i'd check before i wire it all. Thanks! SnowDrifter Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 You should be fine. Just make sure the nominal ohm load that the amp sees isn't below what it can do.
