MegaMan93
Do you guys think it would be a good ideal to throw out the 4x6's and put in 4" alpine's and have 2 tweeters on the pillar.? Would the be worth the time and money cause i can do all that for around 70-80 bucks? I have to get something cause one of my 4x6 blew. Just wondering. We don't have alot of neighbors so we can blast the stereo.
nuttyjjr
I wanted to bump this topic. I also have 4x6 im the dash of my 99 s10 and want to know if i can wedge a 6.5 and a tweet in there? There has to be someone out there who has done both of these things... The 4in alpine should work just fine.... just make a good adapter plate and i would mount the 4 in the middle and a tweet on each side like >>>>> oOo <<<<<< should look pretty sweet
fmedina
yes give the 4" a try and see how you like em. just look for and adapter or make one. and for the 6.5 you can do the same by making some rings and fiberglass em to the panel. only way i could think of. or if you have room cut the sheet metal to the 6.5 cutout diameter and try mounting it there. nuttyjjr
do you think my grill would still mount over it? Id like to keep the stock grills on it.
neuspeedescort
throw them out and screw all this BS! 3's and a tweet in a plate configuration. sounds much better and will more likely not have as many mounting issues since you will be utilizing the factory mounts. nuttyjjr
What did you have to do to the grills??
OldsBoomer
As to the s10 owner no to the 6.5's and yes to 5.25" seen it just make a mdf ring to adjust for the mounting depth Suburban Coming Soon
