And no, we didnt got louder, output and score dropped when we changed to 309s, that new line sucks compared to the old ones !!!

I've used 305s, made in Mexico, and the 307s, made in China, and they both scored exactly the same in the limited testing I did

the 305s are a single magnet, while the 307s are a double stacked magnet.

I heard the 309s have a smaller magnet, but never bothered looking in to it? not sure about the 308s

I paid $AU52 for a pair of the 305s, second hand of course, in a prefab pioneer box...

305c - 2.35kg magnet

306c - 2.35kg

307c - 2.35kg

308c - 2.35kg

309c - 2.10kg

note to self: do not ever, under any circumstances, purchase a 309c sub!

you are right man, i´m still loud with the 309s but no way near as loud as it was before!!! the new 309 line SUCKS, even a good buddy of mine from pioneer´s technical support told me that they have tons of problems with that sub, FS is way too high, cooling is weak and yes, a few other things wich includes what you mentioned before , i use to love that little sub, if the 310 series its gonna be the same then they definitely will lose TONS of fans lol
