Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at.

I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k.

I had the weirest thing happen today. I got in my car and turned it on like normal. then when the HU turned on and the amps turned on i got this fucked up noise coming though. It wasnt alternator wine, it sounded like a robot/ some space ship type noise.

Im going to sound like a retart trying to imatate this, but it was like a dail tone when you have dial up internet, mixed with a robot going bob pop bob pop over top aswel as a high pitch sqreech. I quicly hit the switch on my remote wire and it stopped.

after work i got in my car, grabbed my iphone and started recording so i could show you guys what happened, but just my luck. everything turned on fine.

Over the years ive been reading this forum ive never once seen anyone explain what ive had happen it is really weird. I checked all my connections before turning it back on (the only one i couldnt check was ground as i didnt have the panel removal tool with me) and everything was good.

So i dont know what the fuck happened, but just thought id let you know! any ideas based on what ive said? haha The only thing ive done to my car laitly was add deadner to the doors.

Okay, well i think my alt is FUCKED! i was bumping today on my way home. Voltage was dropping to high 12's. when i stopped bumping because i was approching a traffic light, the voltage went back to 14.2. But once i stopped moving and the car was idleing, the voltage dropped to like 12.2... wtf!!!! gave it some revs and it came back up. let off the throttle, and it dropped again, it also nearly stalled my car when i let of the gas.

any ideas as to whats going on?
