Full tune up, check for any type of leaks, then I'd do headers and exhaust all the way back, bigger cam, bigger injectors, bigger throttle body, cold air intake, and fuel pump, if you really wanna go all out strongly consider changing up the converter and differential gears to get a very nice cam setup going on. Then nitrous, change the top end and bottom end, strip the car, oooops got a bit carried away thinking of the things I want to do to my 93 firebird haha.

that GM samll block has so many options out there to make it more power full it's really hard to tell you what I would do first. I would say make sure the thing is sound before you get too deep into the wallet. If you have any doubt take it to a good mechanic that knows that engine first to do a full on diagnostic. If not then you risk spending money on the go fast goodies then having to start on square one.

Ive been working on F-bodys for 10 years now and this is the usual order of things. Cold air intake and exhaust (headers, y-pipe and full exhaust), cam, heads/intake, cubic inches and or power adders like nitrous/boost. power adders will require fuel upgrades though. Fuel pump and upgraded pump wiring. A good dyno or street tune will make any mod more efficient.
