New Infinity Build

Spent a lot of time planning a decent budget build for my 94 accord. Already been through 3 completely designed builds, but I think 3rd times the charm.

Been asking a LOT of questions on Caraudio.com, and I got a TOOOONNN of feedback, so I think I got a very solid budget build.

2 Infinity Reference 1262 Dual 4 Ohm 300 watt RMS subs

1 Audiopipe ASPM-1300 amp

1 KnuKonceptz 4 gauge Wiring

Custom ported 1.8cu ft (per sub) tuned at 34hz

All of this for $365 installed

I plan to run the d4's in parallel down to 1 ohm, pushing around 750-800 watts from the ASPM at 1 ohm, gains down quite a bit to acheive that, I don't want 1000 watts RMS coming from it, it'll be clipped, and my 80 amp 12v alternator wouldn't be able to handle that.

Whats your thoughts on this build?

All I'm really worried about is that I've heard that the ASPM isn't very efficient. I heard even running it at 2 ohms 600 watts RMS with my car which has a walmart battery, stock 18 year old 80 amp 12 volt alternator, would cause major dimming. Any thoughts on that?

No experience with the APSM series but the AP series and AQX series are current hungry you need solid voltage to run it with no issues but if you're worried why not run another 600w amp in the apsm price range?

Because. When I first started asking around on CarAudio, everybody was head over heels for the ASPM. Probably heard good things about it for like 3 weeks. So I decided to go ahead and buy it, which was 2 days ago. Once I bought it, everybody renegaded on me and started talking shit about it. Point is, I already bought the amp. Now my plan is to run the ASPM in my car, and if my car can handle it, I'll be happy and keep it. If not, then I sell it, and get a cadence F700.1 amp, which will do 800 watts RMS at 2 ohms. What do you think?

I say run the audiopipe since you have it and just monitor your voltage you should be fine as long as you're not going full tilt with the car.

How would I monitor the voltage? I have this voltage meter, but I don't know how to check voltage. And every now and then I'll do the occassional "lets bump the block out" sessions, but mostly, I'll just be bumping in the cabin. Do you think I should just get the Single 4 ohm 1260's and wire them down to 2 ohms at 600 watts? I don't think it'll be noticabally quieter...
