smceachran Posted February 27, 2012 Report Share Posted February 27, 2012 i plan on getting a solo x 18 inch subwoofer and am wondering whether i should run a 2 amp system to it or if i should get a dc audio 5.0k amp to push the sub. If i used a 2 amp system i was thinking 2 hifonics colossus amps to power the sub but im not sure which would be a better way to go. any ideas or even suggestions of completely different amp setups? It is a lot easier to wire 1 amp than messing with strapping 2 amps and all the extra grounds and powers. Most of the people on here will probably say the 5k is a lot better amp too.
