alpine mids/highs

I had the type x ref and liked them.

If you don't care about a name plate and want to run active (or build crossovers) you can do some research and buy the drivers that Alpine used for those sets. The tweets were Vifa xt25's I believe, not sure which mid they used though. If you wanna go higher end the F1 status stuff was ScanSpeak, based on the Revelator mid.

I was planning on building a set with either dayton audio and vifas or something, but I just would rather have more experiance under my belt before I start gathering a set together.. I have emailed a couple of company's and am trying to get the spx 17pro for the best price I can, shooting for 330 shipped. But for now I think I will go with the type r's off a alpine f4 100x4, which would already be a huge improvement from my current 50 dollar coaxs my car came with. Thank you for all the help everyone. I am a really slow builder but will try and get info together and pics and start a build log soon.

To be honest, I've installed type R's in 2 differant cars and I was not impressed with them. The two customers also diddnt like them and want to change them out ( they gave me the equipment, i just installed it).I diddnt like the way they sounded, and just was not happy with them. Im currently running CDT's in my front stage and like them, a WHOLE lot more then the alpines. Future setup is going to be some Image Dyamics I think. Oxnard is SoCal, right? Im sure someone on here will have them installed or you could find a shop that has them. Hell i think even bestbuy had them. For the same if not cheaper you can go with these which is what i may run

It would be sick to have all the same eqiupment, but i think there is better out there for the same/close price range
