POPLERO
I first bought my headunit (alpine cda 117) and damn love it, then hooked up some tweets (alpine dts 1inch) and they are nice too. I have had good experiance and really like alpine stuff and would like to alpine 6.5 door speakers off an alpine amp but haven't heard many people post about them. I have heard the alpine 6.5 component type r's and like the way they sound. Just really looking for more feedback of people who have used the type r's or type x's in their doors or anything.. My goal would be an all alpine themed speakers (except woofers) Alpine cda 117 headunit (installed) Alpine ktp 445 powerpack (installed) Alpine dts tweets on b pillars (installed) Alpine spr-10tw in dash (ordered) Alpine 6.5 components in fronts (undecided) Alpine 6.5 coaxials in rears (undecided) Alpine f4 amp for door (most likey because of its small footprint) Good line up? Suggestions? Input appriciated. POPLERO
You can pick up the (spr-60) 6.5 type r coaxs go for around 110 and the (spr-60c) 6.5 type r components for 155ish, which are good prices and would all match up but only thing holding me back is just knowing I could of gone another level better and get the (spx-17pro) 6.5 type x componets.. which are really out of my budget, around 450. POPLERO
Thanx for the advice man! I made an offer to them and they accepted 367 as their lowest which is not bad I suppose, but have never heard them and not sure if I should pull the trigger on these bad boys.. I would like to hear the experiance someone has had with the type x pro line of alpine first hand.. no near by car audio store have these for me to listen to either.. but I would imagen alpine would make them significantly better than the type r line. I would just stick with the type r's honestly.. not that i dont encourge getting better stuff, but i think the type r's are really great speakers and unless you have a crazy setup then i think you'll be fine with the r's Quote 92 Honda Prelude SI H23a3 HU: Alpine CDA-105 Front Stage: DB Drive PT6.0 6.5" Rear Stage: Junk pioneers (Not sure what im wanting to do in the trunk, waiting) Speaker Amp: DB Drive A4 4200 Sub Amp: MB Quart DSC1500.1 Subs: 2 12" MB Quart Premiums Box: Slot port tuned to ~34hz Wiring: Kicker Ultraflex 0awg and Big 3 Alt: Stock (saving for a 200amp Excessive Amperage) Batteries: Optima Yellow Top and Stinger SPV44 Extra Equipment: Two Rockford Fosgate T2 12's (Recones in future) Kicker ZX1000.1 Selling: GOLF CLUBS- http://www.stevemead...03#entry1916603
Waldo129
My buddy used to have a set of type-r 6.5's and he loved them, but somehow became unhappy with them and purchased a set of JL C4-650's! Which are over 400$ a set! The funny part is when he had the JL's installed you couldnt hear a difference between them and the type-r's. Just shows how overpriced JL is. All in all I would say go with the type-r 6.5. You wont be disappointed Quote 02 Civic Si Stock Alt Kicker 0 gauge wire Shuriken SK-BT80 Battery JL Audio J2 320.4 Planet Audio BB 2400.1 Fi BTL 18 ufo motor My 02 Si Build! http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1
