Sealed Box Stuffing?

Recommended Posts

It's worth a shot the only trouble is pulling a sub outta the box to stuff it pop it back in and test it out if you don't like it take the sub back out and junk the poly fill. Cheap an easy way to try and get some lower end.

Upon futher research I stumbed upon the Audio Engineer's Reference book,

It also becomes necessary to introduce large amounts of absorbent material to damp dimensional resonances or standing waves, and to reinforce or brace the panels to reduce vibration. Fortunately, filling the enclosure with glass fibre or similar light absorbent material has the effect of partially changing the air operation from adiabatic to isothermal, which reduces the velocity of sound and may increase the effective volume of the box.

I've used it in just about every sealed box I've even had/built and got good results. Like others said, stick to 1lb^3.

He was taunting me. He's all like "come at me bro!" So I'm like "I'm coming at you bro!" And he's like "hey, fuck you" *chomp*. Then I killed it. I win.

^^^ you have truly taken being a lazy fuck to a new level tonight, an MRE. WOW

Do you guys think the subs motor and magnet size would come into play?

I'm working with 2 dc level 4 m2 12s and they're only getting 1.1 cubes each(poor lil fellas I know)

They seem rather large in that box haha
