doughboi916 Posted December 12, 2007 Report Share Posted December 12, 2007 Ok i was driving buy my dads friends autoshop and i saw my pops friend outside, old guy car god, we started talking and i told him i was planing on buying a new high output alt for my truck cause imma run a huge amp (getting a Memphis 4k) he said he can get one of his worker to rewind?? it so it will put out more ampers?? anyone ever hear of this? also what will be needed in order for me to run a Memphis 4k efficiently? Rewinding an alt is the old school way of getting more out of an Alt. He might get around 100-150 amps out of it. Tell him you want 350 amps out of the alt and see the look on his face. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more.
