Brightred6
My new Mids and Highs are installed and so is the amp that powers it. i'm using the factory HU and a LOC...now I only need ONE rca plug for the system to work...and it only works on the RCA input that says ch.2...and only the ch 2 speaker terminals produce sound. the others are either very quiet or nothing at all. I also get Engine Whine. possible solutions?
SnowDrifter
Try grounding your RCAs for engine whine. For the LOC: what do you mean? You only need one or it only works with one? andrew018018
seems to be very strange, did you try to swap the rca's over to check if you have any rca issues? Brightred6
No not yet, could it be the line out convertor positive n negitive wires mixed up?
andrew018018
possibly as well, it would probably help to put photos or more info about your install, for example do you have 1 set of rcas or 2 going to your amp, if you have one set which is what it sounds like, are you using y splitters so that you have all 4 inputs in your amp with rca's in them i've never wired an LOC with the wires mixed up but imo if you wire Left and Right both switched its just going to make your amp out of phase with there rest of the system, which is bad but your speakers would still work, first thing i would do is double check your wiring, look at diagrams and purchase a dmm before you start making costly mistakes Quote My System (in VW golf/Rabbit mk2) (1) Hifonics Brutus 2010D @ 1ohm (1) Hifonics Zeus 440 Mids'nhighs (3) JBL W10Gti subs (2) JBL GTO838 (2) JBL GTO936 (1) run of 3/0 Gauge ofc (1) Ac Delco120ah 850cca battery (front) (1) Ac Delco 45ah 330cca battery (rear) (1)Sony Gt630ui hu 34hz tuning
