That should definitely be up to the parent though to decide the proper form of punishment for their child. Do I think schools should have the right to spank my children? You know, I honestly don't know. But one thing I think of is how everyone is quick to take give teachers ALL the responsibility of raising out children with none of the power or authority. If every parent made sure their child was cooperative and compliant in school there would be no need for their to be disciplinary actions in school. Just saying.
