alaskanzx5
so im gonna be starting my box build soon as the snow is now melting. before i go and buy my wood i would like the thoughts of the smd community on the box design. the subs are 2 rockford t2d412" running off a t1500.1bdcp at 1ohm. birthsheet is just under 1900 rms at 1ohm x1 at 14.4 volts and i do have a micheal singer 250amp alt that was shipped thursday and for the time being till i can get more money an intersate deep cyle rv battery 750cca, i think its a 55 hr with a 10 farad digital hybrid rockford cap. ( no i wont ditch the cap ) this is a setup for daily driving and competing at every comp here in alaska i can make it to. i did a 143.9 with one of these subs at 2ohms on the same amp with voltage drop down to 11.2 in a box built according the design in the manual that came with the sub. 1.99cuft after sub tuned to 41hz slot port with only 9-10" of port per foot. hoping to break 145s with this setup hopefully even get into the 146s. the box will be 18.75" height 37.75" wide and 17.75" deep, L shaped slot port 16.75" height 3.5" wide and 20.5" long, tuned to 39.36hz with a port area off 62.81", 15.55" per foot. it will have a double baffle with a 2x4 for bacing. the port walls will be rounded and i will most likely add 45s to the coners. with a volume of 4.04 after the 2x4 bracing and subs, leaving me with .04 for 45s in the corners. and yes i know changing the airspace with adding 45s will change the tuning but not by much. in the sketchup it doesnt have the double baffle or 45s/rounded port walls but it will be there on the finished box t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
