TheNewbie
Quick question. I just bought a XP 950 today, will be doing the big three, and have a 90 amp alt. Runs of 0 gauge for big three, and to the amp, then 0 gauge from the battery in the back to batt up front. Question is, will this be enough to support roughly 1500 watts? Would a bigger alt be nessesary? What's the voltage level I should avoid dipping below? Thanks. Check out my build log: http://www.stevemead...60#entry1958353 Different folks have different strokes. summah boy
you might need a bigger alternator you will have to see i guess but if you see dimming in your lights then that means your voltage is dropping too low plain and simple haha
ChevyBoy95
he doesnt need a bigger alt, it is only 1500rms. What i would suggest is a nice AGM starter battery and another AGM for the back, doesnt need to be big, a little XS or Kinetik will do the trick.
