Quiet Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 bassbox and pen and paper all day long. its hilarious how many "torres boxes" that come through the shop, yet the people totally ignore the principles and rules of thumb in design. You have a calculator that pretty much tells you everythign and you still make a box with 4sqin of port per cube, that has no length at all and say its tuned to 35hz. or the thought process that cubic feet dont matter whatsoever. These are often overlooked. Back in the 90s, all you had was pen and paper. No one had "calculators" to crunch the numbers... Spoiled kids these days LOL Back in high school, my algebra teacher saw me working on a formula for a bandpass enclosure after I was done with the exercise, and made a big deal in front of the class about how math applies in the real world. That's when I knew I was a geek. EDIT: I still get shit wrong all the time. The only way to do it right is lots of practice, trial and error. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
