KOZ89
i had a popping issue like that once, my issue was that i had mounted a little 2000watt mono block amp to the speaker box vertically for my 2-10's i was pushing them full tilt, until one day the amp crapped out on me, resolving in me putting the amp horizontally(lol), and after a month of banging again the amp finally gave out. But back to the popping, no idea why my subs actaully did that maybe it was because of the amp maybe just bad wiring, it would pop like you said in the beggining when raising volume or in the middle of raising it up to the max volume i could go to. It was never an issue for me to look back at because i had a back up amp, so i just chucked the other one in the garbage. Rebel4055
Pretty sure tinsel leads can be repaired. I'm no sub rebuilder though. So wait till someone says other wise. t-money
had this issue once with a sub. the joint where the coil and spiders were glued together broke, ripped a tensel lead and sounded EXACTLY like yours does. have u checked to make sure the spider and coil are still together Quote 2002 ford focus hatch pioneer DEH-P8400bh infinity kappa 6.5 components front and rear XS Power D1200 Shuriken BT-100 audioque 120.4 2 15 inch audioque HDC3 D2 2 audioque 2200d big 3 mechman 220a alt with external regulator 479-418-3056
