Sub pops when i play it at low volume.....need help

Recommended Posts

already tried that....the amp is fine, the ground is also fine....

got a quick check just to make sure....one of the tinsel leads are separated from the spider....and it makes the slapping noise...didnt see it before cause it was dark.....

could it be possible that it happened when i tested my new dd M4??bass gain was at 0 all the time....well....maybe at 1 for 10-20seconds....

i had a popping issue like that once, my issue was that i had mounted a little 2000watt mono block amp to the speaker box vertically for my 2-10's i was pushing them full tilt, until one day the amp crapped out on me, resolving in me putting the amp horizontally(lol), and after a month of banging again the amp finally gave out. But back to the popping, no idea why my subs actaully did that maybe it was because of the amp maybe just bad wiring, it would pop like you said in the beggining when raising volume or in the middle of raising it up to the max volume i could go to. It was never an issue for me to look back at because i had a back up amp, so i just chucked the other one in the garbage.
