Help??? How to compare sub specs to buy online

Recommended Posts

Ok guys I want to go ahead and buy some subs online like dc, fi, aa, or any other great brand but here's my problem, around here no one has these subs so I can do a physical comparison and hear them for myself. I want to know how to compare subs and understand what the specs on them mean. All I have been taught really is the rms rating but I know there is more to sub than just that. Can some one please explain to me how to compare the specs or if that is even fair to go off of. thx guys

Look at the buil logs, the coments.

Read all you can in the sub sub-forum.

Budget, volume and power available, and we can start from here. You need to know if you want an all out spl system or something to listen to music daily without any problem.

I've never bought a sub by the specs. I don't know how accurate it is to make a choice. Must not be easy to do.

In my opinion : the bigger the better !

You seem to be in good hands with Skyhigh.

good luck

i find it hard to pick which brand to go with too so yah lol

im looking into 2 12" subs ported but what im after is some sick loudness i want to be heard and felt when you pull up beside me
