Okay so i have a 1999 Volkswagen jetta with my stock 90 amp alt and stock battery (i also have done my big 3).

As of right now i am running a soundstream rubicon 1.1600D to my Audio Que HDC3 15.

The soundstream amp dose "1600" rms at 1 ohm but i have never clamped it so that's just a crap shoot.

So the reason why i go to say all of this is that i want to get a Crescendo 2K eventually and a 4 channel amp but before that i want to start upgrading my electrical...

Sooo i have been doing a lot of research but am still unsure of what i want to get next.

I can eater get a Mike stinger 225 Amp alt a Xs power 3100 or Kinetik HC2400 (if i got a battery it would be replacing my starter battery)

so i want your opinion on what will help my electrical the most.

my vote is for alternator thats the way i went

figure you got a 90 amp now right about 30% alt power is lost just being on the car ( computer fuel pump etc etc) so

trying to pull 200 amps or so basically from battery power is a bit much

alternator is my vote ... WHY ?

even if you add batteries .. the stock (90amp) alternator will be fighting to keep the batteries charged and end up a slow death .. so alternator then batteries if need be ...

I run an ab 1100.1 off 1 battery in the trunk and people are amazed that my voltage is 13+ during demos ;) it is a 350 amp alt tho LOL

alt for sure. big 3 in 0 gauge.

i doubt you'll be able to fit a group 31 battery under the hood of a jetta though. i dont have experience with those cars, but it just doesn't seem possible

Alternator, unless you don't listen with your car on. If you listen with your car off in the driveway, and use a battery charger when you are done listening, then get the batteries.

Yeah my car is always on. now i just need to save up the $$$ for that alternator.
