AustimusPrime
I'm looking to get a new amp for 2 12" L7's. Do you think an American bass PH-4000MD would do the job? I havent heard anything on the phantom series so if anyone knows if they are worth the money I would appreciate feedback. Thanks
myn
The Phantom series by American Bass uses the Sound Magus board/internals which is the same guts as what Massive Audio Nano series uses. AB PH2500 = Massive Audio N3 AB PH4000 = Massive Audio N4 On a positive note, the AB variant seems to be obtainable for a cheaper price then their Massive Audio counterpart. The PH4000 has been compared against the AQ2200 and said to be "louder" here --> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/119726-american-bass-phantom-series-amps/page__view__findpost__p__1686307 Here is a formal review by PASMAG on it's little brother (PH2500) http://www.pasmag.com/car-audio/reports/1796-test-report-american-bass-ph-2500-md I've compiled all of this information because I'm researching new amps too and had this amp on my shortlist. AustimusPrime
Thanks guys, I think I might just get the AB. I'm stuck between a Hifonics 2400brz and that AB amp. Just need a little bit more time to look around and make up my mind. Any more suggestions would be helpful

AustimusPrime
You think that AB amp would be good with just a stock electrical? I'm also thinking about getting a AQ1200D and just running it at 2 ohms. I dont think the 1200 is .5 ohm stable Edited April 7, 2012 by AustimusPrime
