R.j. Stanford
Alright so its time for a upgrade, I have a 2001 Jeep Wrangler right now this is my first car and I'm trying to get some ideas for an upgrade as for my subs/amp. Keep in mind this is a high school car so I cant spend a ton on this upgrade (about 600$ or so). Right now my current set up is, 2 10inch Kicker Comps 400.1 ZS Kicker Amp 0 Gauge RF Wire Stock Alt Stock Batt Only Problems i'm having about upgrading is i'm limited to 1.4 Cubic Feet max So my options stand at 1 12inch in a ported box or 2 10inch in a sealed box Also I'm looking at either 2 Fi ssd 10inche on a hifonics 2000 watt zeus amp or 1 12 inch Sundown SA-12 on a Sundown Amp If anyone has any good advise on sub selection please give it to me and box help thanks. john253a
when you say 1.4cuft what are the dimensions and the kicker amp you have now is that zx400.1 or zs?
varietyguy
If you could give us the dimensions you have to work with it would be very helpful. We're not doubting that you have 1.4 cubes but spacing will be dependant on your dimensions. A good box for an sa-12 is gonna be about 1.5-2 cu. ft. after displacement. With the port and external dimensions your looking at about 2.5-3.0 cu ft. for 1 12. Also are you driving your jeep with a hardtop or soft top? 1992 Mazda 323 http://www.stevemead...323-wall-build/

john253a
Sundown Audio Z v3 10" with out sizes its hard but in 1.4 gross 1x4" aero arouns 24" will be 33hz putting box in the 1.1 net area thats leaves you 200 for amp
R.j. Stanford
Another limiting factor is that with the back seats at an angle the box has one angled side which means The magnet and basket have to not be to large correct? or am i /just being ignorant? varietyguy
slot port would be entered in the height and width dimensions directly above it. 1992 Mazda 323 http://www.stevemead...323-wall-build/
