pickem up truck Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 i have a fockford fosgate power 500.1 amp and i was bumping then all of a suden it quit and made like a whisleing sound. does anyone have a idea wuts wrong with it and can it be rebuilt or is it fried
Dillan Scerri Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 im guessing one of the capacitors inside the amp let up could b wrong but if u know your stuff take the cover off the amp and look for any burnt out diods.....
sprkn_ranger Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 Well I don't know anything about repairing amps, but I know Rockford Fosgate has a program where you send in your amp and pay a flat fee and the fix it no matter what the problem if it's out of warranty.
