Dax Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 I know running you own seperate mids and highs sound better but I don't understand anything to with them and components just seem easier. So I was wondering what is involved in using seperate mids and highs and running your own crossovers, and is it really worth it to spend the extra money and time or is gain in volume and sound quaility only minimal? Dax Posted April 10, 2012 Author Report Posted April 10, 2012 Sorry, I should have said that better I mean buying seperate tweeters and mids and hooking them up to seperate amps that have been set to only put out certain frequencys. hope this is a little clearer. dolarbilz Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Running active is what your looking to do.(separate channels for speakers)...its a very advance way to run your system im barely stepping in that direction..it does get more expensive ..I like the sound better.( even though mine not tuned).you need a high end deck Excample pioneer 99prs.or high end electroic crossover.or sum baddass amps.stick to simple..
dolarbilz Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Just have a nice deck solid amp with lots power and good set of components .with some nice custom built kick pods makes the biggest difference.imaging helps alot.
Dax Posted April 10, 2012 Author Report Posted April 10, 2012 what is imaging, sorry if this is a newb question, but i know nothing.
