New to the 2009 KICKER line up is the Solo Classic subwoofer. Taking a page out of the original KICKER legend that made the subwoofers famous, these woofers are able to produce deep, low, musical bass from a small area. These woofers are designed to be used in smaller sealed enclosures that will accommodate any car or vehicle out there. The Solo Classic subwoofers will produce a smooth response with some of the lowest frequencies that you will have heard. This woofer is the perfect combination of the KICKER legend with cutting edge technology to give you the best bass possible!

Now that's funny. Also there are no recommendations for a ported box on there site, it's ment to be in a sealed.

the thing i dont get is there rated at 600rms each im running them close to there max and yet they can get fairly loud once they get low enough they bottom out

Trying to comprehend that sentence.. your running them over there RMS? Close to there peak? Honestly.. I had a kicker CVX hit pretty good, but would bottom out, and couldn't go very low. I think it's something to do with there surround.. I could be very wrong there though I was using a prefab ported box. I would try ported see what happens.. worse comes to worse, you have a nice box you can sell >:D

No, it would combust and Kick.. the bucket. :D I'm sure you can go ported OP just gotta find someone that has done it and use their net volume ect to make sure you get a replica.

sorry ill re phrase that close to there rms rating 1100rms and there rating is 1200 maby my enclosure is a little too big ? or my gain could be just a little too high

Depending on the deck you have there is also a SSF. Your box is fine.. I've never made a sealed box so I couldn't go into that with you. But if you set it to where your SSF is around 32 It would stop bottoming out because it wouldn't send those freq to it.. You sure your amp doesn't have one on it?
