JL Amps and fuses

Okay so I plan on buying a 4 channel amp from JL and 2 mono block amps from JL

now this 4 channel have doesn't have fuses so I would have to put either a fuse or a circuit breaker inline before the amp, well they say to use a 50 amp fuses will it hurt the amp if I use a 40 amp fuse?? here's the link(http://www.jlaudio.com/jx360-4-car-audio-jx-amplifiers-99395)

And on the two mono block jl amps they require a 30A fuse, and its the same concept you will have to use an inline fuse before the amp, now if I use a 40 amp fuse inline will it hurt the amp? and also here's the link(http://www.jlaudio.com/jx250-1-car-audio-jx-amplifiers-99398)

Any help would be appreciated.

use what they say. 50 amp fuse for 4 channel 30 a for each mono block

inline fuses btw

You might have to use AGU fuses. like these http://www.sonicelec...on-AGU50PL.html .

no man. he can use what ever fuses he wants. those amps dont have any fuses on them or at least user accesible. so all you need is one inline fuse per amp. can me mini anl anl or what ever

Well my origional idea was to use mini anl, or use a circuit breaker, but I will check those sites out, do they have wiring kits??

i mean for the power you are running you really should only need one run of 4 gauge OFC to the back maybe 1 run of 0 gauge CCA to a distribution block. then just fuse at distribution block. mini anl should do well. and yes they have wiring kits

My idea was to run 4 gauge to the back to a distribution block and then go to the amps, ans then run my grounds to a distribtuion ground block and then run the ground back to the battery as well

excellent idea.

and especially excellent idea for grounds.

just make sure if you are using 4 gauge to get OFC 100%
