well fuck all right that doesn't make sense to not include it in the program
-
So what would I enter for bracing then??
-
JL's site recommends tunning the box to 38hz and in would be a brace in the middle, and the .75 is the thickness of the sheet of mdf??
-
okay I'm asking is the box being at 38.55 hz is close enough to 38.0 hz?? and thats what came out when I put in the numbers
-
Yes, i will be using two subs, each will have a chamber but the t-port will tie the two together
-
okay so this JL 8 inch sub(http://www.jlaudio.com/8w1v2-4-car-audio-w1v2-subwoofer-drivers-92070) says it should be tuned to 38.0 hz well it has a circle port, but I wanna do a square port so below is the frequency of 38.55 going to make a big difference?? and also I calculated is as one box cause jl's site only gives you specs for on one box, the the port would be like a t shape inside the box

but this thread has derailed, it was about soundstorm not JL,
-
the only other company I would honestly buy that I have liked is diamond audio, i have a pair of their tens from 1999 dropped two 4 ohms i belileve and boy did they hit
-
It's not about the money to me honestly, and if you hate jl cool, don't try to change my opinion haters lol,
-
Yeah well, what company isn't, I mean most of the people I know with sound systems have mtx and kicker or sony or pioneer
-
ah okay, I heard their amps sucks lol, never tried em, and I won't my next build is gonna be all JL
-
Has anyone ever messed with soundstorm subs or amps??
-
Bushwacker makes fernder flares i think, As for your paint job, if you've never done body work/ or paint work it will be a big ass learning curve, but If your willing to learn I can help out, I have done body work for the past 5 to 6 years, I actually got hired over a summer to do body work for the school I went to, but yeah Just let me know

One quick question, will it make a difference if I use OFC or CCA??
-
Sweet thanks man:) for all the help .

What you can do if make sure all the loose paint is broke free and then do touch up paint, but other than that you can't keep it from chipping unless you get it fixed, which if there's dent's they will fix them, but usually to stop paint from chipping you need to feather edge the paint and then scuff around the feather edged area and prime so your hood doesn't rust, and then wet sand and then paint, but like I said if there's dent's their going to need to be filled with bondo and also primed.

Now someone told me my ground wire should be bigger than my power wire?? is this ture?? is OFC=oxygen free copper or no??
-
My idea was to run 4 gauge to the back to a distribution block and then go to the amps, ans then run my grounds to a distribtuion ground block and then run the ground back to the battery as well
-
Well my origional idea was to use mini anl, or use a circuit breaker, but I will check those sites out, do they have wiring kits??
