95_saturn_sc2
this build log is of my 1995 saturn sc2. this was my first car. ive had the car for about 2.5 years now and have slowly been learning how to do car audio, i self-taught myself everything audio related. this build will show the car from day 1 until now. this car started off as something simple and spiraled into something very big and unique. this is how the car looked when i first got it: i found a donor car in a junkyard and got the front end fixed: then i threw a temporary system together (just some old subs and an amp we had laying around): shortly after i bought some new rims and clear corner lights: this was the first real system that i put together:
95_saturn_sc2
then i got the whole car painted and blacked out: this picture is right after my first show. it shows the color of the car a little better then the first set of pictures: it was at this point that i became "addicted to bass." so i upgraded to some lanzar optidrive1535d's and had a custom box built: then i upgraded to a hifonics brz2400.1d amp: then i did the big 3 upgrade: i also upgraded to a double din head unit since the single din died on me: then i bought a 160amp ohio generator alternator:
95_saturn_sc2
heres a random picture of bass damage: and a few months later it happened again: then i added a hifonics zxi150.4 and 8 hifonics zxi63 3-way coaxials. the boxes for the 4 rear speakers is something i threw together with a jigsaw in a dorm room. 95_saturn_sc2
the next thing i decided to do was add 2 kinetik hc1200's and a hidden fuse panel. dont worry, after these pictures i foamed in all the holes so there wasnt wire rubbing against metal: there was a battery on the other side also in the same spot the fuse panel was in a hidden compartment inside the spare tire well

95_saturn_sc2
this setup was fun while it lasted. the highest i did with this setup was 143db @35hz on the dash. but eventually the "addiction" got the best of me and i decided to wall it off. so the teardown began: early christmas!
