RossGo
How does a port flare add 4db? Not doubting, I have just not done much tuning with ported setups. I just make loudish sealed box setups haha Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. I build for Smiles Per Gallon not Miles Per Gallon LOLZ My build - 1996 4Runner with 2 18s - 149+ in a sealed box (with radiators)

cjvue
Nice work! Impressive numbers too. If you graph that spl curve, you'll see two mountain and a valley. The variance isn't the far and I'd like to think the response curve is pretty darn flat. To tune for numbers though, align those two mountains and you should have a higher score. The draw back is that it will be peaky and have a narrow bandwidth. Nikitaaa
How does a port flare add 4db? Not doubting, I have just not done much tuning with ported setups. I just make loudish sealed box setups haha Every application is different. I know an all out SPL burp van (60s) that gained over 1.5db and dropped peak frequency from the back flare but lost a little from the front. In my experience every port I've ever flared (not just round over but flare) has gained a very considerable amount! mrd6
Thanks guys, hopefully some more progress this weekend! Nice work! Impressive numbers too. I may or may not already have some burp ports planned ...if I take the psycoport out of the mounting insert this is whats left... ...would be pretty crazy if that rear port was tuned the same as the front port, and the vehicle resonance. Might get kinda loud haha My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
