gdl357 Posted April 23, 2012 Report Share Posted April 23, 2012 Hello all. I'm new here so be patient with me. LOL Well I am 39 years old and I conscider myself old school. I have been working as a computer tech all my life but now work in a Car audio garage. I re-did my 2 x 12" 4.2 Cubic foot box. It now has 2 seperate chambers with one 4" x 12" port in each chamber and installed two Clarion PXW-1252 (500W RMS/1000W Peak x 14mm excusion). They are Dual 4 Ohm Voice coil. I can either have the both hooked up as 4Ohm or 1 Ohm total. Rigt now I have them as 4 Ohm because the Alpinecan do 4 Ohm Bridged. I was going to run my Alpine V12 MRV-1505 (900W RMS/1500W peak) but didn't like the fact that the out of my Clarion EQ 746 is suposedly 7Volts or so and the alpine could ony take 4V on the RCA's. I would like to know if I should be running my Subs at 1 Ohm or look into buying the Alpine PDX-M12 = 1200W RMS @4 ohm - 1-8 Volt Sensitivity? I am also thinking of going with the PDX-F4 = 100W RMS x 4 or maybe the PDX-F6 = 150W RMS x 4 to run my Boston RC 620 - 2 x 6.5 with 4 tweeters up front and 2 x 6.750" and 2 tweeters in rear. This is going into a 2004 Pontiac Aztek. 100W enough? Also getting rid of my 2 x MRV-T500 = 75W RMS x 2 for the PDX -F4. Thx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
