stuffdog3 Posted May 3, 2012 Author Report Posted May 3, 2012 got 20 feet of black and blue knu 0 gauge comin. if i have enough im going to do 3 runs of 0. now with the 0 gauge groung. how do people run the ground from front to back and whats the benifit over frame grounds

stuffdog3 Posted May 3, 2012 Author Report Posted May 3, 2012 quick question about this switch panel i got from street wire. its a 4 button system. has a master power on it. what i bought it for was my leds. but i will only need 2 buttons for my leds. and that leaves 2 more. will it be possible for me to use those 2 buttons for my amp turn on. i have a sub and mid bass amp i would like to control. here is a pic of the unit.

I don't think so on the street glow thing. Reason being is cause it has it's own power supply. So the red and black wire you have from it, that goes to the ground and battery. The ports on it, are distributing that power and ground. So in order for it to work, you'd have to use that as the "remote wire" in a sense. But you could actually do it if you had it connected to an ignition source, the main red, then it's all off when ignition is off. Sorry I'm rambling, does any of that make sense? If not I'll re explain better. I need coffee! Ok wait let me try this. DC/2v - Red/Black wire is your source power and ground. So hook that up to an ignition source, so it's on when the vehicle ignition is on only. Channel one - Red to Neon Power wire, Black to Neon Ground wire Channel two - Red to Neon Power wire, Black to Neon Ground wire Channel three - Red to Remote turn on of amp, Black not used Channel found - Red to Remote turn on of other amp, Black not used Master Switch takes the power that's coming in from your ignition source and turns on the whole switch module, meaning basically allows power to go to all the switches. I think that will work, but I'm not 100% certain. I'm sure there's a way to use the DMM to check that also but I'm not 100% certain how to do it. Maybe someone else here can help with that.
