2003 Chevy Silverado SS (Super Stupid)

I'm starting my rebuild of my 2003 Silverado SS dubbed Super Stupid. Its going to be a slow build. My wife works and I've just recently retired from the NFL, so I'm taking so time off to let my body heal from all the yrs of abuse I've put it through. I've had several systems in my cars. I have a really nice 1996 Chevy Impala SS. It has 2 jl 13 w6's. I've been reading this forum for a while and I know how some of you feel about JL but its a matter of preference. Well this topic is about the truck. This is going to be my 1st build I've done on my own since I was like 17. So I'm real shaky. But it won't be a problem. Its a lot of information on here and a lot of cool people with some serious knowledge base. So I'll be cool. My current set-up is:

1. Front - set of Polk audio MM 6 1/2 components

2. Rear - set of Polk audio MM 5 1/4 coax

3. Subs - 2 JL audio Tw5 13 in thin line subs under the rear seat

4. JL audio 450/4 slash series amp

5. JL audio 1000/1 slash series amp

First, ditch the Polk coax's.

Second, JL is good, but over-rated and over-priced

Third, what team(s) did you play for?

The new system will consist of :

6 Crescendo audio MP 6's

4 crescendo audio Ft1 super tweets

2 crescendo audio silk dome tweets

2 Polk audio MM 5.25 mids

2 Polk audio MM 5.25 coax

2 JL 6w3 (6 1/2 subs (in the doors)

2 DC audio XL 15 (Blow thru)

JL 300/4 slash series 4 channel amp

JL 450/4 slash series 4 channel amp

JL 300/2 slash series 2 channel amp

DC 5k

Doors are almost done. I'm putting 3 crescendo mp 6's 2 crescendo Ft1 super tweets and 1 JL 6 1/2 mini subs (mid base) in each door. I think there ok for my 1st time fiber glassing. My A pillars will have a dome tweet and 5.25 in each. Those are done and came out better than expected. Pics as soon as I figure out how to up load.

the coax is in the rear doors. They'll just be tweeters for the most part. I played for Tampa, Philly, new York (jets), Jacksonville, Baltimore. Just retired last yr. Injuries. The name is Stefan Rodgers if you wanted to check.

that thing is cool. Has I'm good. Got 8 channels to deal with with my 2 4's so I'm good. Just gloat figure out the best way to wire them up.
