SA 10 subwoofer and box question.

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about buying two SA 10's and putting them in my Ford F150 crew cab pickup. My box is made with a maximum mounting depth of 6.25 inches with a subwoofer that it's magnet is no bigger than 6.5 inches. That means the sub will only have 0.25 inches of clearence between it and the surface of the box. Do you guys think this will cause a problem?

there will be no clearance 6.25 - 6.5= -0.25, the sub will stick out of box

do you have the box already (prefab) or are you going to make you?

another thing to look at it net volume of box, this will also restrict some of you options

what year f150? if you have a year like mine, you can do what I did for my box/setup.

If you are stuck on that box, maybe use the SD series?

btw SA-10s are 6.0 inch mounting. SA-12s are 6.5
