wennington99
for use in a Cadillac Deville off a JL Audio Slash 500/1 I previously had a pair of Image Dynamics ID 12's before running ported off around 250 watts, wasn't really bangin Lots of trunk space to go with a large ported box if need be, Subs I was considering, W6, W7, IDMAX, IDQ, JBL GTi, but I guess I can really go with any sub I can order online now that I've found a box builder also considering a pair of lower end models like W3's or Alpine Type R's I want as much slam as I can get while maintaining decent sq
sweendog
Why not get a sundown sa 12? or look into the SSA Gcon.
getlocivic
you have a 500w max amp 90% of the subs you listed are at least 500w rms each get a better sub amp do the BIG 3 upgrade..then get better subs... simply put your not going to be "bangin" with 500w max
doodcody
as far as your list goes i see subs that are too much money. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/GCON%252d15-D2-%E2%80%93-Sound-Solutions-Audio-15%22-750W-Dual-2%252dOhm-GCON-Series-Subwoofer.html... check this one out one 15 will sound good compared to the 2 12's you had

wennington99
both the sundown and gcon 15" look pretty sick, any more suggestions?
sweendog
Fi SSD. PSI platform 1 AA chaos Sa-12 or 15 if you go that route Gcon. Those would be the five subs I would suggest around your power area. Edited April 29, 2012 by sweendog

Thompson128
Slash 500 is rated RMS. sorry...meaning? I was referring to getlocivic, he suggested your amp was 500w max. I was just stating the JL 500/1 is 500 rms not max Quote 1989 Chevy Beretta My Gear HU- Kenwood KIV-701 Amp- Alpine PDX 600.1M this will change in the very near future Sub- 10" JL W6V2 in H.O box, will be W6V3 when released, I'm ready for the trolling XD Speakers- 6 1/2 Memphis PR component custom door mount, 4" Memphis Coax PR in dash, 5 1/4 Memphis Coax in rear deck, upgrade soon. 3-Way C5 in front, rear deck unknown yet Power Wire- Memphis 1/0 AWG to StreetWires fused +/- distro, Memphis 4 AWG out, plus 4 AWG Big 3 RCA's- StreetWires ZN3 2 Chan/ ZN5 4 Chan + StreetWires 9 Conductor, All this is going to Memphis UTPF soon enough CompuStar Alarm/Remote Start 2 way with 901 remote.
