Idea for car set up

I am not sure exactly what i am looking for overall but was hoping to get some set up idea's from people. Maybe get like an idea for a $300 set up and an idea for a $500-$600 set up? Not including the cost to have someone set it up because I have some family that might be able to help me out setting it up. I drive a 1998 Dodge ram 1500 extended cab by the way. Just ask if you need more information so you can help me.

Whats up man? Glad to see your wanting to put a system in your truck. Are you looking for shallow mount subs to put under the seats in the back or are you looking maybe to remove the back seat and fill that spot with a box?

Glad to see your wanting to put a system in your truck. Just my opinion i would probably go with a sealed box for the shallow mounts unless you had a small areo port. My local shop here in Rocky Mount, NC had some Rockford Fosgate P3 12" subs and they felt nice to shallow mounts. They are 2 ohm stable, stitched tinsel leads, aluminum voice coil, 400W RMS, 1" excursion either way. They had Kicker and MTX shallow mounts but the Rockford's seemed a lot more sturdy to me. As for an amp I would go with 700-900W RMS and not much less at all. In my case I wish I would have invested in a bigger amp than I needed so I wouldnt have to buy another amp but instead just buy new subs to upgrade the system. You would prolly be safe with a 1500W RMS amp just in case you wanted to upgrade the system in future. Of course you would have to turn the gains down so the subs dont see too much power. If your not looking to upgrade in the near future just stick with the 700-900W RMS. I will post some links to a couple amps and the P3 Subs.
