Oh okay I never really had the urge to look into it that deep I just always went along with all the capabilities of the head unit or all the bells and whistles such as bluetooth, touch screens, what type CDs it reads, iPod connections etc but thanks for the info though...there are some NICE ones out there and I'm still undecided as to which brand I should go with whether it's double din or single

I just bought a JVC KW-AV60BT, very happy with it.. not that expensive and plays BT audio from my iPhone4 wirelessly.. And if you buy the KS-U30 cable off ebay at 10-15$, you will have GPS functionnality instead of dropping 800$ more on a GPS/multimedia double-din unit.
