SlamminBeats Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) when finding the HU clipping and then the max gains, where to i set my bass knob and HU bass level during both procedures? (HU bass level goes from -24 to +6) i'd assume 0 like it says? Pioneer Deck also do you have to disconnect your speakers while doing it? it says there's a 1-3 dB gain for unregulated and a 0 for regulated? im confused? Edited May 2, 2012 by SlamminBeats Quote

Since no one has answered i guess i will and hope no one ninja's me. So short version Head unit, bass//mid/treble at 0. subwoofer level on headunit at max, ( i like mine a 0 (-7 to +7 range)) Sub bass knob at half, if it is a gain knob, if its bass boost knob then 0 Find H/u max unclipped at 1k and 40 with 0db tones find amp with no speakers hooked up with -5db tones. When i find the HU clipping should it be at +6 or at 0 and when i find the bass amp clipping should it be at max which is +6?? Quote

donpablo Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 I think all hu are diff on the base lvl thing ive heard alpines you turn all the way up when setting as for pioneer you get at 0 thats what i set mine at if you turn the base lvl up to 6 it makes the bass all muddy Quote 2015 F-150 Platnuim
