The HU needs voltage on both wires.

Constant is memory and all the power for the unit.

The red switched wire is basically a "remote" wire for the HU when you turn on the key.

Is that 1.43V after the white plug? maybe bad connection through that plug.

If its still bad before the plug then you'll have to follow the wire to probably the fuse block and check there.

BTW 1.43V is enough that you don't have a broken connection which should show 0V.

Sounds like you have a partial or corroded connection...

You may want to try and find the issue.

The red switched wire is generally a low current wire.

Not suited to run the whole deck with.

The switched wire may not be fused either.

If you're using the internal amp in the deck then you definitely want to fix it.

I located the constant from the car itself red and black cut it and it's the same voltage unfortunately
